Skills and Occupational Descriptions
PRECISION OPTICAL GOODS WORKERS: Cut, grind, and polish eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other precision optical elements according to prescription or other specifications. Assemble and mount lenses into frames and process other optical elements according to specifications. Work usually involves the use of precision machines and instruments. Include Precision Lens Polishers or Grinders, Centerer-Edgers, and Lens Mounters.
